“First words, first steps, new beginnings, new commitments, re-honoring old commitments, at work or at play, having fun and being full of joy and innocence. A passionate look, a longing look, or just a look into another’s eyes...These are all moments in our lives too quickly swept away by the continual marching of time. These moments should be cherished and captured so that they can take our breath away time after time."

I'm not sure where this quote originated, but to me it fully sums up the depth, fullness, and purpose of photography: Capturing a special moment, that otherwise time might take away from us, sometimes even in the most unexpected places. This is what I love and am drawn to about this art.
